Overview & Highlights

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Northcote, Wazzup Falafel offers an authentic vegan dining experience that truly stands out in Melbourne’s culinary scene. Specializing in Middle Eastern flavors, this cozy restaurant expertly crafts falafel-centric dishes that are as vibrant and fresh as they are satisfying.

The moment you bite into their crispy, golden falafels, it’s clear why Wazzup Falafel has garnered such rave reviews. The Kout Falaf and Falafel Boxo deliver a perfect balance of texture—crunchy on the outside, tender and flavorful within—providing a hearty, soul-warming delight that feels genuinely homemade. For those seeking variety, the Stuffed Falafel is a must-try; its subtle chili kick adds a playful depth without overwhelming the palate, creating layers of flavor that gently unfold with each bite.

Healthy eaters will appreciate dishes like the Falafel Salad, which offers a lighter, yet equally vibrant, way to enjoy fresh, wholesome ingredients. The specials such as Musabbaha and Fatteh bring classic Palestinian flavors to the table, rich with aromatic spices and silky textures that beckon you to linger over your meal. Complementing the dishes, their pita pockets pack an alluringly comforting and filling punch, ideal for both a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner.

But beyond the food, Wazzup Falafel’s atmosphere amplifies the experience. The welcoming warmth from the staff – often described by customers as genuinely kind and hospitable – makes every visit feel like catching up with old friends. The cozy interior, punctuated by touches of Middle Eastern decor, resonates with a lively and vibrant vibe that perfectly mirrors the spirit of their cuisine.

Patrons repeatedly praise not only the flavor but the thoughtful touches: complimentary falafel samples upon arrival, attention to dietary needs such as gluten-free options, and an outstanding commitment to freshness that is evident in every dish served. This combination of authentic taste, excellent service, and an inviting ambiance makes Wazzup Falafel much more than just a meal—it’s an experience that’s deeply satisfying on every level.

If you find yourself in Melbourne craving vegan Middle Eastern flavors that excite the senses and nourish the soul, Wazzup Falafel on High St, Northcote, is an absolute must-visit. Whether you’re after a hearty falafel box, a delicately spiced stuffed falafel, or a refreshing salad, this spot promises a delicious journey filled with passion and home-cooked love.

The falafels were absolutely delicious! Perfectly crispy and flavorful without being too oily Highly recommend the pita pocket for a filling, comforting meal OR you could also opt for the falafel salad if you’re looking something a bit lighter The folks there are also so lovely 10/10

Best falafel of my life ! The staff are so lovely. Can’t recommend this place enough. Will be returning every time I’m in Melbourne

Amazing falafel and service. I got complimentary falafel dipped in sauce before ordering. It was crunchy outside and very soft inside, almost melt in your mouth. I ordered falafel sticks and stuffed falafel to take home. The stuffed falafel was unique with chilli inside, so it gave a kick but not burning your mouth. Turns out they taste delicious even it was not as hot as before. Hopefully, I will get another chance to visit this place again.

I tried them today. I liked the stuffed falafel apart from that everything else tasted average to me. It's a Palestinian shop if I'm not wrong but the staff was very hospitable and gave out complementary falafel as I walked in. Their prices are affordable and quantity is good enough for one person,

Incredible experience. There is a reason why this place has 5 stars, 1000+ reviews. Soul food vibes, made with love, home cooked feeling, best falafel in Melbourne. So tasty, so filling, I loved it!!! Keep up the great work.

Absolutely loved Wazzup Falafel! The food is authentic and full of flavour. The atmosphere is vibrant, and the decorations give the place a great vibe. The staff were incredibly welcoming, generous, and friendly. I had the Special Falafel Wrap, Special Falafel Pita Pocket, and Musabbaha—all delicious and highly recommended. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

This place is incredible! The falafel is the best I’ve ever ate! Super fresh, moist and flavoursome. The service was first class, before I’d even ordered they gave me a sample, and ensured it was coeliac safe. Plenty of gluten free options. Lovely atmosphere, the tastiest food and amazing staff. I highly recommend!

I can’t believe I haven’t already been to this falafel place in the one year it’s been open in Northcote! The food was really good falafels made for your meal no cold ones! The hummus is perfectly seasoned and vegetables are nicely pickled. It is very affordable for what you get with the meal and I would say I would definitely go again. The staff were very nice and friendly and would ask if you were enjoying so very nice service! My only criticism which is not even a criticism but the FSP has a little too much chips for my liking but other wise it was fabulous.
